Now that school has started back we are all starting to get settled into our routines. While this may sound like a good thing in reality it can be a very dangerous thing. Routine can often be the enemy of improvement, and routine is often guilty of breeding complacency. While activities may become routine our mindset, heart, and desires should never become that way. So consider this week how you could change your routine, perhaps improve it, for God's glory and others' good. The following are things to consider this week at Langstaff
September 7 Ministry
A few people have been asking about the ministry from a couple weeks ago. Andrew Ussher gave us a message from the life of Peter. We were able to look at some of the reasons why Peter fell the way he did, and we were all struck by our deep need of God's grace and help that we would not fall. That message has now been uploaded and is available for you to listen to here. It would be worth changing your routine to take the 45 minutes and listen to the message.
1 Timothy 4
The summer/fall teaching series has been quite successful. We are now halfway through the series and will be starting into Chapter 4 this Wednesday. Maybe you're current routine doesn't allow you to attend Wednesday nights, there is no time like the present to change that routine. Perhaps now you're thinking, "well why bother, I've already missed the first half." Don't worry! You can listen to all the previous messages here. We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday.
With the start of the school year we will also be starting up a number of youth events. We can be very thankful that we have been able to get a school for the Tuesday night Kids Club in Richmond Hill. We had been praying for that and God was kind enough to answer that prayer. Next Tuesday (the 23rd) will be our first meeting. Also, Sunday will be the first youth Bible Study of the year. Mr. Dave Richards will be joining us for the day. All are welcome to that.
