’Tis mystery all: the Immortal dies:
Who can explore His strange design?
In vain the firstborn seraph tries
To sound the depths of love divine.
What a week we have upon us. Looking towards Easter, with a focus on the Cross, how can we sound the depths of love so divine? Even the first born seraph (the highest ranked angel ministering to Christ) cannot even fathom the infinite love of the beloved Cross. We as mortals certainly cannot understand the love that it took that beautiful man of Calvary to lay down His life for mankind. Yet, we do not seek him among the dead, for He has risen! This week the Langstaff Facebook page will focus on the 7 last words of Christ, so if you're on Facebook and you're not following Langstaff, do so. This week has a few changes with the Easter conference ahead of us. So read below, mark it all down, and most importantly - please pray for the week to come.
...is this weekend. Please keep the weekend in your prayers. There is more information about the weekend here. Flyers are available at the back of the hall.
Thursday evening is the conference prayer meeting here at Langstaff. This meeting begins at 7:30pm sharp. This will be followed by a short message from Eugene Higgins. The conference starts at 10am Friday at Le Parc.
Easter Sunday after the breaking of bread we will have an Easter Program for the Sunday School children as well as, hopefully, a good number of parents in attendance. Following the Easter Program, dinner will be served in the basement before the conference afternoon meeting begins at 1:30pm over at Le Parc.
Post Conference Mr. Gilliland will be holding three ministry meetings at Langstaff. Please keep the evenings of the 6,7,8 of April free in your diary. These meetings will start at 7:30pm to help with convenience for those coming from other assemblies. The topic of these meetings is to be 'The Christian and Contemporary Culture.'
The Friday Night Gym night had a great turnout last week! This happens twice a month, so if you know anyone High School aged upwards who would be interested, please get in touch with Sam Moore. The Youth Bible Study continued their studies in Philippians on Saturday night. If you are missing from the email list, please see Paul Ussher. This too, is for youth aged High School and up and is not exclusive to Langstaff youth!
FOR YOUR INFORMATION:
PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO MEETING ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
