What's Happening at Langstaff - 23rd March

Langstaff Gospel Hall

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8 : 38&39

Welcome home to all those who were away during the March break! We hope you had a time of relaxation and regeneration - and that you are sporting subtle tans! We missed seeing some of our well loved faces, so we look forward to seeing everyone assembled once again for our meetings this week! This past Lord's Day we had the privilege to remember the Lord with a special emphasis on His love for us as, oh so unworthy, recipients. We continued on this theme with a message from Paul Ussher on the favourited chapter of Romans 8, followed by an interesting and thought provoking ministry message from Michael Da Silva Jr. on the 12 Sons of Jacob - a study to be continued in the near future. This week, may we know that no matter what, God is for us, God loves us - we are MORE than conquerors.

EASTER CONFERENCE countdown is on. Mental preparation as well as physical preparation will be key as we approach a weekend of ministry and fellowship. Please keep the weekend in your prayers. There is more information about the weekend here. Flyers are available at the back of the hall. There will be opportunities to serve in practical ways. Please be in touch with Sharon Young, Rachel Ussher or the eldership if you feel you could be of help serving or assist in any way. On the topic of conferences, our annual Missionary Conference will soon be upon us, Lord willing. Remember this event in your prayers.

DAVID GILLILAND: Mr. Gilliland is one of the invited speakers to the Toronto Conference. Post Conference, David will be holding three ministry meetings at Langstaff. Please keep the evenings of the 6,7,8 of April free in your diary.

HOLIDAY PROGRAMMES: Stephen Vance and Brian Kember have an exercise to host various youth programmes across the summer time. There are two fliers on the board downstairs or you can find them here. They are looking for volunteers with their two weeks of Kids Club Outreaches. Also for participants in their Bible Study workshop. This is a great work, so please contact Stephen if you are available to help at the Outreach or are interested in gaining the tools and resources to dig deeper into Scripture.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: The prayer meeting and Bible study will be replaced by the monthly missionary prayer evening. Tim Berry will give information on Sabrina Booth's work in Russia. There will be, starting from this week onward, a short financial update at each missionary prayer evening.

YOUTH STUDY: The Langstaff Youth study will continue this Saturday night at 7pm. This is for any youth attending High School or higher. Please invite friends and family members. The study is continuing in Philippians, this week led by Paul Ussher.

LETTERS: There are letters of appreciation available on the members website. These include some of the speakers for the upcoming Missionary Conference with prayer requests inclosed. Please read them when you can.

The prayer requests are circulated via the members section. Please click here to be redirected to the prayer lists. It is good to be up to date with the prayer needs of the individuals in our assembly.
