This Week at Langstaff - March 9th

Langstaff Gospel Hall

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21

How blessed we are to gather unto the Lord's name and been seen as blameless, righteous and holy before a perfect and almighty God. We enjoyed a Lord's Day of encouragement and blessing with ministry for young and old throughout the day. The week been was one rich in fellowship, friendship and serving the Lord. We met mid week for an interesting Wednesday night; and the women (and a few courageous men!) got together on Thursday to bake for the upcoming Toronto conference. To add to the happenings, the young people had a weekend of fun and fellowship with a ski trip Saturday and encouraging ministry on Sunday evening by Stephen Vance. May we have a week of victory, knowing we are made whole in Christ.

Wednesday nights are of course always interesting, but it always makes for a bit of entertainment when the lights don't work and the alarm is ringing every 10-15minutes. Problems at the Hall meant we improvised and had a hymn sing in the gradually getting colder building instead of the typical Bible reading. Whether the lights were shining or not, we let our lights shine forth and sang our hearts out lifting praises to the Lord. It made for a great night of fellowship and friendship.

Some of the youth from Langstaff got together with a group of young people from assemblies in the GTA to enjoy a day of snow and slopes. A big thank you to Bolton Gospel Hall for hosting a day of laughter and love. It's great to see Christian youth all spending time together and growing together in the Lord.

A big thank you to the men and women who baked on Thursday night. It's a big feat to put on the Easter conference, any work put in is very much appreciated.

- This week's Wednesday night will hopefully go according to plan! The Bible reading will be in 2 Tim 3 led by brother Pat. This will be at the usual time of 7.15pm, and we love to see as many out as possible.

- Panam games outreach prayer meetings will begin in March. They will be once a month commencing on the 25th of March at the Eglington assembly.

- On the members site is the financial statement for February and various letters from commended workers. Please log on to the site to access and read these.

The prayer requests are circulated via the members section. Please click here to be redirected to the prayer lists. It is good to be up to date with the prayer needs of the individuals in our assembly.
