What's Happening at Langstaff? - June 15th

Langstaff Gospel Hall

We were privledged to have our brother Andrew Robertson with us for the day at Langstaff yesterday. I am sure many of us were encouraged and challenged by his messages. Our prayer, is that we would all take what we have learned to heart. That we will all live our lives focused on our Lord Jesus with him holding our treasure and our hearts, and that we will live with hearts and minds free of worry and full of faith in our God.

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
— Matthew 6:19-20

Baptism - June 28th

On Sunday June 28th, after our gospel meeting, Amanda Peters will be obeying the Lord, and demonstrating her faith through baptism. We have pushed the baptism by one week to June 28th, so that it does not interfere with Father's Day plans. All are welcome to attend! If you are interested in learning more about baptism or have any questions, please contact us using the "contact us" section of the website. For all the members at Langstaff, there is a sign-up sheet at the hall for refreshments after the baptism.

Wednesday Night - Prayer Meeting and Bible Study

This Wednesday night, we will be back to our regular schedule with the Prayer Meeting and Bible Study at 7:15pm. We will be continuing our study in the book of Titus, and it will be led by Gary Williamson.

Sunday June 21 Ministry Meeting

Next Sunday afternoon we will be having a special ministry meeting, addressing specific issues in an informative way. The three subjects will be:

  1. English Bible versions for public use in assembly gatherings
  2. Reverence and reality addressing God in prayer
  3. The scriptural definition and description of work of Deacons in a local assembly

We will be having an open Sunday school, to encourage as many believers to be up for this ministry session.

Other Announcements:

  • Youth Bible Study Saturday night at 7pm
  • There is still a great need for volunteers for the Pan-Am games outreach and distribution. For any interested please apply online by clicking here, or speak to Peter Lansing.
  • Sunday School picnic will be on Saturday June 27th - All are welcome!

The prayer requests are circulated via the members section. Please click here to be redirected to the prayer lists. It is good to be up to date with the prayer needs of the individuals in our assembly.
