"Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!" Psalm 31:19
The Lord's goodness has been abundantly apparent over the last week here at Langstaff. We enjoyed very edifying ministry on the Father's love, power ad strength from Michael Da Silva Snr. We met for an evening of prayer and petition for our outreach weekend, and the Lord was pleased to bless with a great number of unsaved friends and family come along to hear the gospel and enjoy a meal with those of us at Langstaff. See below for more information as to the outreach weekend and for more happenings this week at Langstaff.
This past weekend Langstaff hosted two evenings of gospel meetings and community suppers. We had a great number turn out to each night with clear gospel messages given by Michael Da Silva Jnr., Bryan Joyce, Samuel Moore and Andrew Ussher. There were many friends and family members, but also a few from the surrounding area who had received the calendars put out by the assembly. Please continue to pray for the seed that has been sow over this past weekend. Also a big thank you to all who helped with the catering and behind the scenes of the weekend. There is a lot of work involved and it is appreciated by all.
Wednesday night this week will be a missionary report and prayer meeting regarding the work in Ukraine. The meeting starts at the usual time of 7.15pm. It's great to be up to date with the various works of the Lord around the world, so if you can attend, please do!
There is a great need in the continent across the sea. Mrs. Vera Ross has asked for help in preparing medical goods to assist in the needs. In particular, she is looking for used eye glasses, empty pill boxes with labels removed and your time. She is looking for help on Saturday February 7th at 10am with the creation and packing of cloth bandages for use in the medical work there. This is a very practical opportunity to serve the Lord.
This Saturday is the first Youth Bible Study of 2015. Michael Da Silva Jnr. will be taking up the subject of "Small Choices - Big Changes". It starts at 7pm at the hall. All those High School aged and up are invited to attend.
The snack clean-up list for each month is attached here. If you missed the sign-up sheet and would like to help out in this practical way, please contact Sarah Ussher. This roster begins next week, the start of February.
The prayer requests are circulated via the members section. Please click here to be redirected to the prayer lists. It is good to be up to date with the prayer needs of the individuals in our assembly.
