"But we Jesus who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man." Hebrews 2:9
This past week the members of Langstaff were involved in Kid's Club, gym night, youth Bible study, question and answer Bible study and prayer meeting and packaging supplies for Zambia. We heard excellent ministry from Andrew Ussher this past Lord's Day with the theme of 'Lessons on the Lake' that Peter learned of Christ. Vince Giraldi spoke at the youth ministry evening on Sunday night. May we think of the lessons learned by Peter: service demands an accurate assessment of Christ, of self, and absolute obedience and surrender. May we focus on acknowledging Christ as Lord of ALL.
On Saturday, some of the believers were involved in packaging medical supplies for Zambia. Led by Mrs. Ross they made and packaged bandages, and sent boxes of prescription eye glasses and pill bottles to the believer's hospital there. Thank you to all involved in the morning, it was a very practical way to serve the Lord and further His work in other continents.
Bryan and Rachel Joyce will be collecting clothing for the homeless shelter downtown. Clear our your closets and get spare clothing to the Joyce's or to the hall by Sunday. It is great to be able to help the needy in any practical ways - this is a great way to serve the Lord.
This Wednesday is a continuation of the question and answer session started last Wednesday. There are question sheets at the back of the hall, but in order to attain the answers - you need to attend! The meeting is at the usual time of 7.15pm.
The financial statements are available on the members website. If you would like a hardcopy, please see Andrew Ussher.
The Friday night gym evening will now coincide with the weekends of the youth bible study. If you have anyone interested in either of these activities, please be in contact with Paul Ussher or Samuel Moore.
The prayer requests are circulated via the members section. Please click here to be redirected to the prayer lists. It is good to be up to date with the prayer needs of the individuals in our assembly.
"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints." Ephesians 6:18
