February 2nd - This Week at Langstaff

Langstaff Gospel Hall

"My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defense, I shall not be moved". Psalm 62:5-6

Last week we enjoyed a time of prayer and fellowship learning of the work in Ukraine. The Kid's Club saw a number of young people hear the gospel and the young people got together to study God's Word on Saturday evening. This week coming, may we wait on the Lord and seek Him daily. He is our foundation, our chief cornerstone. May we build our plans on the solid rock and stay steadfast without being moved.

Saturday night, the youth got together for a night of study and ministry. Michael Da Silva spoke an excellent message titled 'small choices, big changes'. They were challenged about economical, physical and spiritual choices and how they can bring God the most glory in each of these areas. The 7th of February is the next study, with Samuel Moore leading the group in Philippians chapter 1. The 8th will be the youth ministry for February. Vince Giraldi will be the speaker. Please be aware that the new evening for the youth ministry is the second Sunday of each month to avoid future clashes.

Wednesday night is a Q and A session on 2 Timothy 1 and 2. The session will be led by the brethren who have taken the previous studies on this letter. If you have any questions to submit, please have them into the oversight/brethren before Monday evening. You can also reply to the weekly email with your question, and it will be received.

Bryan and Rachel Joyce will be collecting clothing for the homeless shelter downtown. Clear our your closets and get spare clothing to the Joyce's or to the hall by Sunday. It is great to be able to help the needy in any practical ways - this is a great way to serve the Lord.

Saturday 7th we will be packaging medical supplies for the work in Zambia. Please be at the hall at 10am if you are able to assist Mrs. Vera Ross in her exercise to help out this work.

The prayer requests are circulated via the members section. Please click here to be redirected to the prayer lists. It is good to be up to date with the prayer needs of the individuals in our assembly.

"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints." Ephesians 6:18
