Last week at Langstaff was the 'calm before the storm' as they say! This week sends us propelling towards the Langstaff Missionary Conference with preparations well on their way for our big event, in the will of the Lord. There is a lot to be done, a lot to pray for and a lot to be thankful for! Keep your eyes and ears peeled over the next few 'weeks at Langstaff' for ways to be involved, practical ways to serve the Lord, and changes in scheduling. As for this week, with our minds on missionaries, may we 'do the work of an evangelist' and be active with the gospel in our workplaces, homes, schools and environments! Have a blessed week in Him.
- If you have accommodation available for the missionary conference, please contact Irving Payne. Irv is in charge of making sure visiting guests have a bed (or the likes!) to sleep on. We have over 600 in attendance, so any homes available and open to be utilized are very much appreciated.
- THIS WEDNESDAY is our annual 'spring clean' in preparation for the Missionary conference. Many hands makes light work, and it would be a true encouragement to see as many as are able to, help. There is no 'set time' for this clean up. As soon as you're finished eating your (EARLY) supper, please come on down.
- Pray for the missionary conference. The men and their wives are travelling from all over the world. Remember them in your prayers. Also keep the gospel meeting taken by Mr. Clive Barber in your mind. Clive has an incredible testimony, similar to that of Peter Orasuk, so it would be good to have friends and family along.
- Be in touch with Rachel Ussher, Carol Marsiette or the elders if you feel exercised to help out at the conference in the kitchen or around and about. There will be many ways for members to serve the Lord, and it is a great way to fellowship together for a worthy cause.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION:
The Bethany Sing is this Lord's Day at 3:30pm. The residents are always happy to see a good number show up, so if you have a good voice, and even if you don't, please pop along to Bethany for a time of praising the Lord.
There are letters of thanks from various missionaries on the website. These will be read next Bible Study, Lord willing, but you can get ahead and view them on the members site if you please.
The prayer requests are circulated via the members section. Please click here to be redirected to the prayer lists. It is good to be up to date with the prayer needs of the individuals in our assembly.
