Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! - Psalm 133:1
Not all things are good for us, even though they are pleasant. And not all things that are good for us, are pleasant! (Brussel Sprouts anyone?) But how good, and how pleasant it was to dwell in unity this past weekend and spend time together being fed by the messengers and Word of God. Majority of Langstaff members would have been able to attend at least one if not all of the meetings, and I'm sure we can all agree that it was an edifying weekend of fellowship with the Lord's people. Looking forward to another week of busyness at Langstaff, we have a few positive additions to the schedule. May we all keep in mind that Satan loves to attack when the saints are on a spiritual high, so let us go into this week with the newly gained knowledge of Christ, putting on our amour daily to to rebuke Satan and represent our Saviour.
Many of Langstaff members were involved in the behind the scenes of the Kitchen work this weekend. What a huge task, and it was accomplished with flair! The saints were well-fed, to the point of falling asleep in meetings. Please know it was truly appreciated. Also thanks to all the girls (and Sam!) who served and cleared the tables. Aside from the dining hall, there is organization in every area from the sound system to flyers and set up. Also to those who labored in prayer - that is the key reason this conference was a success and a Lord honoring event. Thank you to all.
Mr. Gilliland will be holding three ministry meetings at Langstaff this week, in the will of the Lord. These will take place Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 7:30pm. The topic Mr. Gilliland intends to take up is 'The Christian in the Contemporary Culture'. We would love to see a good number out. Click here for more info.
