This week was marked by one large, and successful event....the annual Langstaff Missionary Conference. From the preparation that started weeks in advance, to the cleanup on Sunday evening we can be thankful for the joy and unity that was seen. It was a real joy to work together and to serve our Lord. Over 1500 meals were served, with supper on Saturday evening having a crowd of nearly 600 people! The ministry was great and for those who were too busy working to hear the messages you can take this week to put your feet up and listen to some ministry. Maybe before you get to listening to the sermons take some time to look through all the pictures posted below.
Happy Mothers Day
We can hardly let this week go by without saying Happy Mothers Day! We have many great mothers at Langstaff and their efforts go largely unappreciated. From trying to bringing their wonderful children to meeting, to teaching them their Sunday school verses, and that's not even mentioning all their help with the functioning of the assembly. Jesus loved his mother, we love ours!
This week we will be returning to our weekly Bible study. It may seem like it has been forever since we had a regular Bible study. The reason it feels that way is because it is true. Between Easter conference, and now Missionary conference it has been quite a while since we had a Bible study. We will be continuing in the book of Mark and chapter 14. There isn't too much going on this week. Spend some time praying that the messages from the conference would have lasting effects on people.
