It has been a very busy week. It would hardly be appropriate to even start this update without first saying a big thank you to all who were involved in the conference this past weekend. There were well over 1000 people at the conference, and your efforts were not unnoticed or unappreciated. We can continue to pray that God would use what was heard and spoken of at the conference to transform hearts and change lives. Below you can see some more updates about what is happening around Langstaff.
Africa is a wonderful continent filled with exotic wildlife. However, far more important than the hippos, crocodiles and lions that occupy the landscape are the people that live there. While you may never travel to Zambia, you do have a chance to help out there by coming this Wednesday evening to the hall. Instead of our normal weekly meeting we will be packaging boxes of supplies to ship to Zambia. If you are able to come we will be starting the packaging at 7pm.
Hall Clean Up
We had a fantastic turnout this past week for cleanup at the hall. Thank you to all who came out and helped with the clean up. We discovered that not only do many hands make for light work but they also make for good times. It was a joy to be together and to be able to get so much work done. There was a diligent search for pictures to post here however it appears everyone was so busy working that they didn't take any pictures.
We love singing. We may not be all that great at it but we love it none the less. At the Easter conference we had some fantastic singing (pictures to the right) and so in light of that we have rented the cafeteria at the Stephen Lewis Secondary School (which is just north of the hall on Pleasant Ridge Rd) for our Missionary Conference. On the Saturday night of conference, after the final meeting in the hall, all are welcome to come out and sing with us there and enjoy refreshments afterwards. The only request is that if you are planning to come you either respond here, or contact Andrew or Rachel Ussher, with an estimate of how many people will be attending with you. This will allow for effective preparation of the food.
