The decisions that young people make between the ages of 15 and 25 will shape the rest of their future. It is for that reason that at the Langstaff Gospel Hall we put a lot of importance on teaching, guiding, and supporting young people through this difficult phase. "Young" has become an increasingly elastic term and so we use the term "students" to refer to those who are at a high school age or a post-secondary level. The following activities are specifically aimed at those who are high-school age and above.
Youth Ministry Meeting - 2nd Sunday Each Month (Fall/Winter/Spring)
The second Sunday of every month marks a special day for Langstaff Youth. We go through an effort to find a relevant and gifted speaker to come and speak to our young people. The meeting follows our Gospel meeting and starts at 8pm with a time of singing, followed by a message from the invited speaker. Following the message there are refreshments served down in the basement where we have a great time, eating, laughing, and meeting new people. All are welcome to come and while the target audience is young people there is no restriction on age. Therefore even those who are only "young at heart" are welcome to join. Youth BIble study - Selected Sunday Evenings
There are many different ways in which you could spend a Saturday night. While some may be fun, none is as beneficial as learning about Jesus Christ and his work for us. This meeting is held at the hall however it is quite informal. Come as you are to listen to a message from God's word, and enjoy a fun time together. Refreshments are provided to enjoy. This event is for those who are in high school or older. To see the schedule, topics, and more information about this activity click here.
Friday Evening Gym Night
We like having a good time. That is why we have rented out the gym at Blue Willow Public school on Friday nights for a fun gym night. Young folks high school age and up are invited to come out and have a great time playing volleyball, basketball, or some other sports activity. Following the activity we sing a few songs and then listen to a short (10-15 minutes) message from the Bible. If you are interested in coming to this and are wondering about the timing of the events, or the exact location of the school, please indicate that in the contact form here.
